Evesham Autograss Clubs'
2003 season has given another good years racing. The club managed
to run all of the scheduled meetings on the Dodwell (Stratford-on-Avon)
track. Local and visiting drivers were rewarded with slick organisation
and fast racing on one of the best racing surfaces in the country.
Last season we were
lucky enough to host the 5th and final BAS round of 2003 fortunately
it was a warm dry weekend which made the event very popular with
both spectators and competitors alike. We were able to run three
full heats, finals and a Champion of Champions crowning Severn Valley's
Neil Griffiths as the 2003 Alf Cope Memmorial Trophy Winner. Due
to everybodies support we donated a sizeable amount to a local charity,The
Shakespeare Hospice.
Evesham Autograss Club
members work hard on the track to maintain the face smooth surface
which benefits both racers, and spectators with spectacular, fast,
multi line racing. Spectator safety is paramount with high level
catch fencing still allowing excellent viewing of the whole track,
a friendly atmosphere ensures an enjoyable day out for competitors
and spectators alike.
Looking forward to
2004, the club plans to continue the momentum built during the 2003
season. The MAP Open will once again be held at Dodwell. We hope
the weekend of 5th & 6th June 2004 will once again show the
organisational skills and close co-operation between Evesham and
Radford.
The 2004 season kicks
off at Dodwell on the 21st of March. Racers and spectators will
be guaranteed excellent racing whenever they visit Dodwell, and
most return again and again.
Evesham Autograss club
looks forward to welcoming you to Dodwell in 2004
